As you plan a visit to Sycamore Tree UMC, you may have a few questions about where we're located, what to wear, and our preparation for young children. If you have a question not answered here, please e-mail us, and we'll do our best to answer it.
We're not the easiest church to find, but that will soon change. Right now, we are located at at 1830 Clydesdale Street, the end of a cul-de-sac in the Blount County Industrial Park off of HWY 321. The turn-off to Clydesdale Street is located directly across HWY 321 from Tyler Brothers Farm Equipment.
Construction to open and extend Clydesdale Street to Mt. Tabor Road, making it a through-way, will begin sometime in the future, and we're excited about the visibility that will give our location! Don't worry, though because when work begins, it will not interfere with our regular activities.
Visitor and handicap parking is in the front of the building near the Main Lobby. Additional parking is along the side and behind the building. The back parking lot is near the entrance to the Worship Center.
Our dress code is. . .
Well, you're in luck because we don't have a dress code, unless you want to call comfortable a dress code. We do embrace comfort!
We wear mostly jeans and casual shirts (yes, T-shirts are okay!), sprinkled with slacks and casual skirts or dresses. In the summertime, don't be surprised to see shorts, oh, and toes. You will see a lot of toes in the summertime because we do like our sandles. Really, the only right clothes to wear are clothes you like to wear.
We love the sight and sound of children in worship! We also know, though, that many parents are concerned those sounds may be disruptive, so we do provide childcare during worship.
Infants, toddlers, and preschoolers may be signed into their rooms prior to worship.
K-5th graders will begin in worship then go upstairs after the Children's Time for Zac's Treehouse, their own Children's Church.
If your child prefers to stay with you or you prefer to have your child with you, please know they are welcome to worship with us in the Worship Center.
